Warranty

Express Limited Warranty

The product you have purchased from Silver Sport Transmissions (“SST”) is warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for the period set forth in the schedule below. This Warranty is extended only to the original purchaser and begins the date of retail purchase. No other warranties, expressed or implied, apply to this purchase. This warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of the defective part only; the warranty specifically excludes labor or consequential damages or injury. The decision as to whether the defective part will be repaired or replaced rests solely with SST.

 

This warranty is void if the product is or was improperly installed, abused in any manner, or used for racing, experimental or commercial purposes. Road or accident damage is not covered. In the case of a manual transmission, the Owner must supply bell housing run out specs taken at the time of installation and the type of fluid used in the product. SST has the sole discretion to determine if the warranty is to be voided by the above factors after inspection of the product.

 

To make a claim under this warranty, first call the SST Customer Service department to obtain a Return Material Authorization (RMA) number. Mark the outside of the package with the RMA number you were given, and return the defective part, shipping or postage prepaid, to:

Please include a copy of the original purchase invoice, a copy of this warranty, and a note describing the circumstances of the failure or malfunction.

 

This warranty is governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, United States of America. Any dispute regarding the coverage of this warranty, its application or terms is subject to arbitration in the State of Tennessee.

 

If the purchaser disagrees with any of the terms of this warranty, please return the purchased item to SST within three (3) business days of receipt; SST will pay return postage. A decision by the purchaser to retain and install the item purchased will be deemed acceptance of the specific terms of this warranty, even without a signature acknowledging your agreement.

• Normal Wear and tear
• Accident/Collision damage
• Removal/Replacement labor costs
• Return shipping costs
• Damage to related components
• Products used in racing, experimental or commercial applications
• Product failure due to improper installation or maintenance, failure to provide adequate cooling, use of improper fluid or failure to maintain proper fluid level, modifications, misuse or abuse.
• Any fees or costs incurred by failure (tow truck, vehicle storage fees, lodging, etc.)
• Third party repairs without prior approval from Silver Sport Transmissions
• Consequential damages

Exceptions:

• Used parts are not covered by warranty
• Special order parts are covered by the manufactures warranty only

Specialty Equipment Caution,
Liability Limitation and Release

 

Silver Sport Transmissions (“SST”) is pleased you have chosen to purchase one of our automotive specialty equipment items. Our products are carefully designed to combine performance, durability and safety, and to work in concert with the vehicle’s original equipment. As they are specialty products, however, and as both performance and safety are paramount concerns, we urge our customers to consider having the products professionally installed.

SST cautions the purchaser that the enhancement provided by the SST specialty equipment item may change the handling characteristics of the vehicle. SST urges the purchaser to carefully familiarize him/herself with the vehicle’s performance characteristics with the new equipment. This should be done in a safe environment and in a safe manner. For the same reason,

SST also urges the purchaser to consider participation in one of the performance “driver’s schools” run by various organizations, although SST does not endorse any particular school.

SST has no control over the quality or correctness of equipment installations performed by others, nor can SST control the uses (in manner or environment) its products are subjected to. Accordingly, SST must limit its liability to the terms of its Express Limited Warranty.

A decision by the purchaser to retain and install the item purchased will be deemed acceptance of the specific terms of this Liability Limitation and Release.

The purchaser expressly releases and waives any claim against SST for any consequential damages or injury that may arise from the use, or any malfunction, of its product. This Liability Limitation and Release binds the original purchaser, all successors in interest, and all persons to whom the SST product may subsequently be transferred; and the purchaser agrees to make this limitation known to all such persons. This Liability Limitation and Release is part of the consideration for the sale of the SST product.

This Liability Limitation and Release is governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, United States of America. Any dispute regarding its terms or application is subject to arbitration in the State of Tennessee at the request of either party to the sale.
